THE COMPANY
Satiri Sdn Bhd was setup in 2008 as a spin off company to commercialize the Satiri Superdwarf turf, a super fine turf excellent for golf green developed by Dr Mohd Said Saad and Dato’ Dr Abdul Shukor Juraimi from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) which formerly known as Universiti Pertanian Malaysia.
The company has expanded its activities into Sport Field and Turf Services (sport field design, construction and management and able to provide complete services in sport field, golf course and track) and Agriculture Services (Agriculture chemicals and agronomic advisory). Satiri is now a wholly owned company of UPM Holdings.

Satiri Sdn Bhd was established in 2008 as a spin-off company of Universiti Putra Malaysia to commercialize the newly launched Satiri Superdwarf turf. The Satiri Superdwarf turf was a product from a long term breeding program headed by Dr Mohd Said Saad with his fellow co-researcher Dr Abdul Shukor Juraimi from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
The breeding program was started in 1997 and the turf was test planted on greens of the Universiti's golf course in 2004. Due to excellent results, the Satiri Superdwarf was launched and commercialized in 2008. The Satiri Sdn Bhd was given the right to commercialize the turf.
The company's continuous investment on R&D has resulted in our second innovation on Satiri Instant Turf Carpet or SITC. With this technology, sport field construction is made simpler, shortened and the turf establishment is guaranteed. Using this very our own SITC technology a quality sport field is ensured.
