• Over 23 years of teaching experience in Turf Management, Herbicide Science, Principle of weed Science, and Farm Practice for Turf and Landscape /Ornamental Horticulture.
• Served as Dean Faculty of Agriculture, UPM – (2012- 2020)
• Undertaken many research projects and consultancy works in weed management, weed science turf grass breeding and management.
• Co-developed the Satiri Superdwarf Turf with Dr Mohd Said Saad. The turf is popularly used for golf greens and lawn bowl.
• Has published more than 250 paper in peer reviewed journals, book, book chapters, refereed proceedings and manuscripts in the forms of seminar papers, technical papers, magazines and consultancy report.

• Over 30 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels n the field of Plant Breeding, Plant Genetics and Biometry.
• Sits in several international and national committees on agriculture and agroindustry.
• Has conducted research on areas include plant genetic resources conservation and utilization, and plant breeding that covers various crops that include Sweetpotato, Hempedu Bumi (Andrographis paniculata), Naga Buana (Phyllanthus pulcher) and turf grasses. His researches have been financed by 10 international grants and 11 national grants.
• His breeding programs have produced several potential varieties that include the successfully announced the ‘SaTiri’ a superdwarf variety for golf green, UPMSS5 sweet potato varieties that is being grown by farmers, and ‘HARAPAN’, a hempedu bumi varietiy with anticancer effects.
• Published more than 130 academic publications that include 10 books, journals, chapters in book and proceedings of international and national conferences and seminars.
